Altrove is a browser extension that suggests alternative travel destinations while you search on Booking.com. This policy explains what data the extension handles.
When you are on a Booking.com search results page, the extension reads the destination you searched for (from the page URL) and your browser's interface language. It sends only these two items to our backend server to generate suggestions.
The extension also reads your search filters (stars, review score, price, dates) in your browser to build the link to the alternative search. These filters are not sent to our server — they stay in your browser.
We do not collect or transmit your name, email, account details, payment information, precise location, browsing history, or any personally identifiable information. The extension has no login and uses no analytics or tracking.
To generate suggestions, our backend sends the destination name and language to Groq, an AI provider, which returns the list of similar destinations. No personal data is included in this request.
Destination terms may be cached temporarily in server memory to avoid repeated requests. They are not stored in a persistent database, and we do not build user profiles.
We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not use it for advertising. The current version of the extension does not include affiliate links; if this changes, it will be clearly disclosed and this policy updated.
